all the single ladies

We've been out-of-the-blue blessed by a couple ladies who deserve some thanks.

First, my sweet cousin Chloe. Chloe just grad-gee-ated from high school and ran the mini-marathon in our honor. (though not in that order)

She sent out a letter about our little family and adoption journey and asked for sponsorship donations. I'm still waiting on the grand total, but it's around $1,200!

THANK YOU Chloe! It's encouraging to see someone so young with such a selfless heart!

Second, my friend/acquaintance Jessica. Jessica got married over the weekend and instead of racking up a registry of useless crap, she and her now husband listed a few charities for their wedding guests to donate to in lieu of giving a gift.

Mr. and Mrs. Banks

I was shocked when Jessica called and asked if they could list our adoption because, as I said, she is a friend/acquaintance, meaning I don't really know her that well. But since I share our story with everyone who has ears she knew we were in need of some dough to get our boy home.

Meadow could not wait to get her hands on those cupcakes...
So, single ladies, while your dreams of adopting may seem far, far away, take Chloe and Jessica's examples and do what you can from where you are. There's a family out there who will be blessed and an orphan who will be a little closer to home.
